Some of our most memorable guests!

Sometimes my family and I get really busy at the inn because we want things to be just right when the guests arrive. For most of you that have already stayed here at The International Cozy Inn you have probably met Ramona (My mother the vivacious 59 year old with the red hair...lol). She is always in the building doing something or another with the decorations, testing the bedding to see if it's comfortable enough, making sure the rooms are spotless or coming up with ideas on how she can make her guests feel even more at home.

Most of our guests have even commented that she works too hard... but nevertheless she is never too busy to talk to the guest and share her stories of New York and how the inn began. If you pass her in the hallway she will probably ask you a million times if everything is ok or if there is something you need. My mom Ramona is not just the mother to three girls but she truly becomes a mom to anyone that enters our doors.

I have to say she genuinely loves what she does and her favorite part of having an inn is knowing that the guests enjoyed their stay, were comfortable and most of all felt at home.

We have had literally hundreds of guests stay here at our family inn and it's almost too many to post on our blog but now in then we will drop a note or upload a picture of our many memorable guests that have made everyday a special one and a reminder of why we love what we do.

Congrats...to this beautiful couple from Spain. He proposed while crossing the Brooklyn bridge on their last evening in New York. They stayed in Suite 101M for two and a half weeks and were an absolute pleasure to have here at ICI. We wish them much joy and happiness.

They stayed in Room #10 for a week before moving to their new apartment in Harlem to attend dance school!

This wonderful family stayed in rooms 4 & 9 for a week. It was such a pleasure to have them here. They said they really enjoyed their stay at ICI and would definitely come back to the inn if ever they were to return to New York.
Great friends and Colleagues from India stayed in room 14B for three weeks. It was a pleasure having them at our inn.

This lovely family and a couple of their son's friends stayed in rooms 3 & 6 this week. They were very charming and such a delight to have at our family inn.

Check List before arriving!!!!!

We recently received a review on Trip advisor or rather a disgruntle comment from a potential guest that didn't have the opportunity to stay at our family inn.

Their displacement was due to.... as she put it....

Two phone calls. Referred to website. Three emails. One response with wrong dates to the request. Unable to book anniversary trip. Found other accommodations.Very frustrating experience, especially in what is supposed to be a very competitive market during tough economic times.

In this case the guest didn't call during office hours, The email request they entered had the wrong dates.....and yes the actual dates requested were unavailable.

We are small on space with ENORMOUS request. We truly answer and respond to each and every email/phone call we receive. As a family business we take this more personal and because of this we respond and treat our visitors and potential visitors more compassionately then a larger commercial business.

There are many advantages to being a small family inn. We are able to respond to the needs of smaller and personal request that would otherwise go overlooked by a larger commercial business.  Because we take the time to pay attention to these detailed request it takes a bit longer to get to everyone.

We thank God for the success of our cozy inn with all of our new family and friends we have made through the years.
Best methods of reaching us ALWAYS is via email. Because of different phone connections, language interpretations and time zones conversing via email affords us the possibilities  to communicate clearly with details of our units, amenities and availabilities.
Top 7 reasons why you might not be able to get a quick response or accommodated:

1. You filled the contact form out with missing contact information such as your email address/ Name / telephone number

2. If you didn't fill in contact information in the contact form and submitted it.

3. If you don't fill out the right dates that you actually want to request

4. You received the email but it went into your spam folder

5. You called during the time our office hours were closed

6. Dates requested didn't meet our minimum nights stay.

7. We don't have availability to accommodate you.
